Hey, I’m Bryan. And I recently acquired an antique metal lathe.
It was first owned by my grandfather and his father. Earlier this spring, my dad gave it to me.
This site is my journey as I set up and learn basic wood-turning skills. I’ll share the restoration process along with the projects (fails and successes) I’m working on.
I’ll make bowls, vases, lamps, and small dishes. And I’m intrigued by resin and plan to incorporate some in my projects.
I especially love seeing natural wood grain – and have accumulated a significant collection of blank stock to begin working on. This includes 6 nice burls that have been drying for more than a year.
Lots to come, thanks for joining along.
Bryan
